Popular Perthshire cinema reveals dates for town's first ever drive-in

Film fans in Aberfeldy will be able to enjoy movies once more on the big screen when the town’s first ever drive-in comes to town.

The Birks Cinema confirmed the drive-in cinema would be in the town from August 14-16.

Earlier this month, the Perthshire Advertiser reported on plans for the drive-in after locals rallied round to help keep the facility afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Actor Alan Cumming was among those to lend their support by sending a video message praising the cinema’s contribution to life in rural Highland Perthshire.

And close to £40,000 was generated from more than 500 donations.

The Birks released the dates for the drive-in earlier this week.

Residents are being urged to keep their eye out for more details, including times, prices and how to book, which will be released over the coming weeks.
