A man has been stabbed in broad daylight in east London, shutting a popular park.
Emergency services were called shortly before 11am on Tuesday to reports of a stabbing in West Ham Park.
A 33-year-old man was found with stab wounds was taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, the Met Police said.
The force said no arrests have been made but a knife has been recovered.
The City of London, who manages the park, explained that the site will remain closed until further notice.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 10.49am today (29 July) to reports of a stabbing at West Ham Park, E15.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic from our tactical response unit and clinical team managers. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre by road.”
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson added: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 10.54hrs on Tuesday, 29 July to reports of a man with stab wounds at West Ham Park, Newham.
“The 33-year-old was taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening and a knife has been recovered.
“The park has been closed as a temporary measure as a crime scene remains in place. No arrests have been made.

West Ham Park is the largest park in Newham.
