Popular Nottingham city centre grill bar set for changes

The Rose And Crown, a popular pub on Derby road is planning a series of renovations. It currently operates as a pub offering flame-grilled steaks and burgers along with sports. The bar plans to add a single storey pergola with a clear Perspex roof, new lights and heaters.

One of the most exciting new additions will be the installation of a 75 inch all weather freestanding TV. All on the outside renovations are to be made to the front patio of the Rose and Crown. Staff confirmed that there will be further renovations to the inside of the bar.

The planning permission has been submitted but is currently pending. The large pub is located close to the QMC hospital and offers a range of good value food and drink which makes it a popular student venue.

The pub is next to the Jubilee campus of Nottingham University and also the De Vere conference centre. The pub also offers pool tables, sports screenings and a DJ. The pub was originally built in 1936 for Shipstones brewery. It was acquired by Shipstone's in 1922 and became a brewery tied house. It is currently part of the Greene King chain of pubs.
