Mount Taylor has been crawling with walkers during the COVID lockdown.

ACT Parks and Conservation Service is repairing and maintaining two of the main tracks.

The Zig Zag track starting at Parkhill Street, Pearce is closed for a month.

The Summit Track from Sulwood Drive has already been closed for a week but has reopened and is again ready for walks and runners to tackle this weekend - and beyond. Parks and Conservation will be updating its previous advice on its social media.

Another two weeks' work will be done on the Summit Track once the Zig Zag Track maintenance is completed.

Parks and Conservation says there are several alternative walking tracks in Mount Taylor to explore, with detours and signage in place.

Or you could try the nearby Farrer Ridge or Wanniassa Hils nature reserves.

Mount Arawang at Cooleman Ridge Nature Reserve has a challenging hill summit trail, too.
