Popular Liverpool restaurant Maray plans another venue in Albert Dock

Much loved independent Liverpool restaurant Maray could be opening a restaurant on the Royal Albert Dock.

The renowned small plates restaurant and bar has submitted a planning application to open at Britannia Pavilion, which boasts stunning views of the River Mersey from the Dock.

Maray already has restaurants on Bold Street and Allerton Road and if the application is successful they will open a third in the former Leather Satchel Company unit.

Complete transformation as Harrison's sports bar opens in former Beaconsfield city centre pub

The Maray menu is known to change seasonally and it’s separated in vegetable, fish and meat sections.

Highlights include the cauliflower with flaked almonds, pomegranate, tahini, yoghurt and harissa and lamb kofta with smoked paprika and tahini.

Liverpool restaurant and bar scene continues to boom as London and other cities feel the heat

Rosa’s Thai Cafe and Lunyalita are the more recent new restaurants that have opened on the Grade I-listed site.

While Great British Menu finalist Ellis Barrie is also planning to open a restaurant with his brother on the Dock later on in the year.
