Popular Liverpool restaurant Il Forno reopening after £300,000 refurbishment

Popular Liverpool restaurant Il Forno is due to reopen its doors next month after a huge refurbishment.

The Italian restaurant, which has been a staple on Duke Street for more than a decade, has been “significantly modernised” during the £300,000 refurb.

The work has seen changes to the 150-seat restaurant’s lighting, seating area and the bar and lounge area.

The team is hopeful that the new bar area will be a focal point for the restaurant, where diners can enjoy its new small plates menu.

The wider menu has also been updated to include several new additions.

Paolo Cillo, owner and executive chef of Il Forno, said: “We have significantly invested in the refurbishment to give the restaurant a fresher feel and we are incredibly excited for our customers to see it. The new-look Il Forno looks fantastic.

“The menu has also been updated with a brand new Italian tapas option for casual diners and we have added a variety of new dishes to our traditional menu too. This is a new beginning for Il Forno and we are very much looking forward to welcoming people back.”

Il Forno reopens with a brand new look on September 1.
