The deli’s in-house team of expert staff will be on hand to recommend their top picks for presents and offer knowledge on all the best quality produce Liverpool has to offer this Christmas.

The event takes place one evening in November and one in December. Customers will be able to purchase gifts and create Christmas hampers using “top-quality products that Delifonseca has become known for”.

There will also be some surprise suppliers paying a visit to the event and guests will receive 10% off all purchases on the night.

Proprietor Candice Fonseca said: “Our tasting evening is a fantastic way to get up close and personal with a range of suppliers, sample some of the best of what we have to offer and speak with our brilliant in-house team, who know these products best. We’ve done a few of these nights now but unfortunately, we had to put them on hold last year due to the pandemic.

“It will be great to welcome the evening back onto our events calendar and this year it will be a bit different as it will also spread into our new dining area. We wanted to make this an opportunity for customers to compose their Christmas pre-order, which can include not just your turkey and cheese but your sprouts, caviar, and spuds, plus everything in between. It really is the best way to avoid the queues - just rock up and what you need is ready for when you are.”

Delifonseca's Christmas tasting evenings will take place from 4pm on Tuesday, November 30 and Tuesday, December 7.
