One of Liverpool’s most popular pubs has figured out how to "reopen" to serve customers during the coronavirus lockdown.
With bars and restaurants across the country remaining closed for the foreseeable future - and with no date in place for them to reopen - many have been left wondering how they’ll manage.
For many, this has been by reopening for delivery and collection, as takeaways are allowed to operate providing they have social distancing measures in place.
The Blackburne Pub and Eatery on Catherine Street has revealed that it will be reopening for collection and delivery from Friday, May 1.
Taking to Facebook to share the news, The Blackburne said: “Big news from the Blackburne Arms. We are REOPENING for collection and deliveries from May 1.”
The post continued to say: “The safety of us all is our top priority, our drivers and cashiers will be wearing masks and gloves, so please don’t be alarmed.
“You can be assured we are following extreme guidelines for the safety of not only us but you as well.”
The Blackburne also shared a number of meals which will be available, including fish and chips, gourmet cheeseburgers and roast dinners.
The popular pub, which serves “the best roast dinner in Liverpool” according to TripAdvisor reviewers, will be delivering within a two mile radius, contact-free.
For those wanting to collect, you can preorder by calling 07412804016, though the pub will be enforcing a two metre social distancing rule and will only allow one person to enter at a time.
Payments must be cash only.
