A popular independent bakery has announced it is to close "for a little bit" as the team prepares an "insanely exciting" new venture.
The Wild Loaf bakery was founded in 2016 and boasts a huge social media following, where it shares updates with its keen fans.
The team behind the sweet treats venue offers an extensive line-up of baked goods including tarts, doughnuts, a range of croissants, buns and more, as well as a variety of sourdough loafs.

During lockdowns introduced in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, founders Jess Doyle and Emily Sandeman continued to bake, seeing The Wild Loaf online shop boom.
Now, the much-loved independent is setting up shop in a new premises.
Taking to Instagram to share a photo of its new venue, in the process of a makeover, The Wild Loaf penned: "New year, new premises! Last year was a crazy one and if it wasn’t for all of your support we wouldn’t be in this position now, moving forward in the best possible way! This space represents years of hard work, working from the ground up.
"Business has been challenging but the dream has been real! We can’t wait to share more in the coming weeks as we plan and shape the space. For now we’ll be closed for a little bit.
"Working in between Christmas & New year has saved us some time so fingers crossed it won’t be too long until the online shop is open for delivery then we hope to have an actual shop open to the public. Nail biting times but also insanely exciting! Can’t wait to take you on the journey with us!"
The post was met was an outpouring of support, racking up almost 1,000 likes in less than 24 hours.
