A popular walking route in Lanarkshire has been given a complete renovation.
The new Bizzyberry Path in Biggar will now have better accessibility for people with limited mobility, while essential upgrades and repairs were carried out on the walkway.
Improved drainage, as well as the removal of fallen debris and trees were also part of the project as locals can now look forward to enjoying the beauty spot again.
New styles and gates were also erected.
It comes as local group Biggar and District Community Heritage were helped by funding from Clyde Wind Farm and council support.
The area is home to Bizzyberry Hill, a popular leisure route for walkers and cyclists.
Returning to her hometown to greet local residents, MSP for Clydesdale Máiri McAllan was invited to open the new Bizzyberry Path.
Ms McAllan said: “Having grown up in Biggar, I know how much we value our local nature, countryside and woodlands – and Bizzyberry provides this in spades with a now updated path for everyone to enjoy our beautiful part of the world.
"In particular, it is good to see improved accessibility for those with limited mobility.
“I was delighted to be invited to officially open it as Clydesdale MSP, and many congratulations all round to everyone involved!”
