A popular nightclub in Hamilton has announced its closure.
Bar Strada took the tough decision not to reopen once the coronavirus pandemic allows, leaving many locals saddened at the news.
The club, located on Cadzow Street, served the town for 28 years, creating happy memories across the generations.
Bar Strada announced: “Well, it’s with a heavy heart to announce that Bar Strada won’t be reopening.
“A big thanks to all our staff past and present who made Strada what it was. I was trying to speak to you all individually before word got out but unfortunately word spreads fast on social media!
“And of course, we want to say thanks to all our loyal customers over the years who we have had some amazing times with. Some great times that won’t be forgotten.
“It would be great to see all your pics and memories from over the years so feel free to comment. Take care everyone.”
Bar Strada proved a popular clubbing venue in Hamilton town centre over the years. It played host to parties along with regular weekend blasts, staying open late most Friday and Saturdays.
The club was also loved for its annual Halloween and Christmas parties which many punters loved as the highlights for nights out.
