Popular Halfords product recalled due to risk of electric shock and potential overheating

A popular Halfords product has been recalled due to a risk of electric shock.

A recall notice has been issued by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission for the Halfords Mains and 12V leisure inflator as there is a risk of the mains plug not failing safely and potentially overheating.

This issue could be potentially dangerous and could pose a safety risk.

The affected products were manufactured from November 2021 to January 2022.

The items affected have the model number is JY-015 with Mains Adaptor model no. YD1202A-Y, with the Halfords item code 290251.

There are approximately 180 affected products begging recalled in the Republic of Ireland that were sold both in-store and online.

Customers are advised to stop using the product and return it to Halfords immediately.

Halfords Mains and 12V leisure inflator (ccpc.ie)

The product should be returned to the store at the customer's earliest possible convenience, including all components as shown in the images above.

When the inflator is returned to the store, a refund will be given.
