A Glasgow restaurant has been included in a list of top gastropubs in the United Kingdom.
Stravaigin which is located in the west end of the city has been included in the top 50 bars with extraordinary ‘pub grub’ by the Global Travel Site, Big 7 travel.
Restaurants all over the United Kingdom were reviewed on a mixture of attributes such as quality of ingredients, value for money, consistency and many other characteristics with Stravaigin, the only restaurant in Glasgow making the cut.

Stravaigin is on Gibson Street which is just off of Kelvingrove park and came in 42nd place in a list of the top 50 gastropubs in the UK.
The restaurant is well known for taking a ‘global approach’ for traditional British food and has been described as a ‘jewel of different cuisines’ whilst using the local produce of the city to their advantage.
They claim the food served is ‘exotically Scottish’ with dishes such as duck liver parfait with blood orange jam and sunflower seed granola or their homemade haggis.
To add to Stravaigin’s profile it has also had a month long refit of the entire restaurant which opened to the public just last week on February 24.
The renovation translates heavily across the refurbishment with aged brass wrapping around signage and display units, reclaimed marble used across tables and countertops alongside many other adjustments.
The Scran and Scallie and The Doric in Edinburgh were also included in the Top 50 gastropubs in the United Kingdom.
