Popular Glasgow pub near Central Station closes for 'facelift'

A popular pub near Glasgow's Central Station has announced on social media it is currently closed for refurbishment.

The Grant Arms, which is found near the Hielanman's Umbrella at the Four Corners, posted it will be closed until the end of the month for the work to be completed.

In a Facebook post, the team shared images of the work underway, stating: "And so it begins, day 1 of our renovation. We hope to see you all again when we re-open on January 27."

The photos showed tradesmen hard at work removing the original wallpaper and steaming the walls for them to be stripped.

Another added: "I must admit that I liked that brick-type wallpaper. Onwards and Upwards."
