Popular Glasgow coffee shop Grain and Grind selling creme egg scotch eggs

Sweet-toothed Glaswegians are in for a real treat with the news that popular southside coffee roasters Grain and Grind are once again selling a delicacy that really does take the biscuit.

The coffee shop have announced that they have brought back their 'sweet' creme egg scotch eggs in time for Easter due to popular demand - and we can sure see why folk were keen to get their hands on them!

The delicious-looking sweet treats, which caused a real stir when they went on sale this time last year, consist of a creme egg wrapped in brownie, wrapped in chocolate, wrapped in cornflakes.

Grain and Grind took to Instagram yesterday to announce the return of the creme eggs - which come in a gold wrapper - to their 13,000 followers.

They wrote: "Our Creme Egg Scotch Eggs are back! Creme egg, wrapped in brownie, wrapped in chocolate, wrapped in cornflakes... Delicious and here for a limited time!"

Famed in the city for their fantastic coffees and delicious baked goods, they operate out of locations in Battlefield, Strathbungo, Cathcart, and Giffnock - with plans announced last month to open a new artisanal bakery on Victoria Road in Govanhill soon too.
