A late-night reveller woke up with a lot of regret this morning after finding he came home with a giant print of Finglas Village.
The man was seen on CCTV picking up the giant popular print which was hanging up outside Michael Doyle Funeral Director in the middle of the village.
The man can be seen hanging around for a bit before hoisting the giant print onto his back and walking off.
Michael told Dublin Live he put the CCTV out in a bit to track down the man - and sure enough he got a phonecall and the picture was returned within hours.
The young man was "hugely embarrassed" according to Michael who said the man woke up to find it in his garden this morning.
He said: "The print itself carries a few battle scars but nothing compared to the wounded pride of the lad himself. We will be reinstating the print once we have the repairs carried out. All's well."
He went on to say how the pic is quite popular among locals and they sometimes stop to take snaps of it - but he had no idea someone might have tried to get it on their fireplace.
"Our very popular print which has adorned the front facade of our office in Finglas Village for the past few years.
"We became aware of its popularity when we began to notice people taking photos and selfies of the print but we had no idea that somebody might have liked it enough that they considered the possibility of it hanging over their own fireplace at home."
