Popular Falkirk bar sets reopen date after being closed since first lockdown

A popular Falkirk bar which has been closed for almost two years is getting set to reopen again.

Sportsters in the town centre hasn't been serving punters since the country was first plunged into lockdown back in March 2020.

But now bosses say they're ready to bring a nightlife back to the town and have announced that the Princess Street bar and restaurant will be back for Halloween weekend, Thursday October, 28.

In a post on Facebook, they said: "We are super excited to be announcing we will be returning Halloween weekend!

"However, first we need to get a team together!"

That means a number of jobs will also be created in the district, just a day after the Governments Furlough scheme ended.

Positions include bar staff, cleaners and door stewards.
