Popular Edinburgh pizza bar Civerinos have given up their St Leonards location handing the keys over to fellow Edinburgh hospitality favourites behind The Nightcap bar.
Both businesses announced the exciting news on Instagram tonight sharing that the pair behind bespoke cocktail bars The Nightcap and St Vincent Bar would be taking over the Southside location.
The announcement doesn't come as much of a surprise as the location has been closed for a while but it's exciting to see the City Centre spot get some exciting new owners.
The bar that promises to 'sling drinks' and 'spin tunes' should be opening in early February and thanked fellow business owners for the easy transition.
Taking to Instagram Civerinos wrote: "The High Dive was inspired by a passion for neighbourhood dining hubs, and reviving this iconic 'Dive Bar' was a labour of love.
"When choosing a successor for @the_high_dive, we needed someone who would take this Dive Bar back to its roots; great drinks, a whole new food offering (NO more pizza!) and warm edinburgh hospitality.
"Welcome to the stage- Jon & Chris. The heart behind @nightcap2016 and @stvincentbar they know how to #LoveThyNeighbourhood
"It's a brand new chapter for this old neighbourhood pub. So, goodbye, good luck, & see you on the other side of the bar High Dive x"
On their own Instagram those behind Nightcap posted: "Please welcome the new addition to the family! We’ve taken keys for @the_high_dive. Huge thanks to @civerinos crew for an easy handover, we won’t let you down.
"Can’t wait to start slinging drinks and spinning tunes on the other side of the tracks from early Feb. More announcements to come.. drop us a follow if you don’t already."
