Dublin people were left in shock when one of the capital's favourite restaurants closed its doors for good quietly over the Christmas.
The Chili Shack in Stoneybatter burst onto the scene in Dublin and became famous for their mammoth beast burger which even left us here at Dublin Live defeated and in a food coma.
But the food place are no more and left nothing but a heartbreaking note to tell locals and lovers of the restaurant that their time at 3 Prussia Street in north Dublin is over.
Their note on the door said: "It is with regret that we are announcing that this unit of The Chili Shack has had to close.
"We wanted to thank our customers for their loyalty through those years. It has been a pleasure serving you."
They concluded by telling people to try their Galway restaurant if they found themselves in the west of Ireland.
People rushed to Facebook to say their goodbyes to the iconic burger place.
One person said: "It was so good. This will be missed terribly."
Another added: "This is such a pity. I thought we had a great burger place for keeps."
A third commented: "Hopefully we will see them back in Dublin sometime in the future.
