Popular city centre restaurant Rumours Kopitiam has permanently closed its doors

A  popular city centre Malaysian has closed its doors unexpectedly.

Rumours Kopitiam on Bath Street was considered a hidden gem by many and specialised in Malaysian curries, hotpots and soups.

The restaurant was permanently shut from Sunday (October 27), however they did not issue an announcement about the decision on social media.

A short statement from the restaurant on their website reads: "Sorry our Restaurant is now closed permanently from the 27th October 2019. Thank you for your business and support over the years!"

(Rebecca McSheaffrey)

The restaurant has also placed a notice on their front door announcing that they are permanently closed.
