Popular Bristol hair salon burgled as 'closed businesses being targeted'

A popular Bishopston hair salon has been targeted in a burglary.

Police believe the break-in at the Nuala Morey salon, on Gloucester Road, happened at about 2.15pm on Thursday (January 21).

The business revealed it had been burgled in Instagram post to its 63,500 followers.

It said: "My fellow businesses on Gloucester Road. Please read. After speaking to the police today there have been lots of burglaries just like mine today in the last two weeks.

"Please be aware and make sure there is no opportunity for anyone to be able to get in. They are targeting businesses that are closed."

Another post from the salon reads: "Sadly all calls and messages to the salon mobile are not going to be replied to.

"The salon was burgled today and the mobile was taken. Please email us through our website or call 01170240940."

An Avon and Somerset police spokesperson said the neighbourhood policing team has been made aware and officers are carrying out CCTV enquiries.

They added: "Anyone with information about what happened should contact us on 101 quoting reference 5221014760.”

Nuala Morey has been approached for further comment.
