Popular bar-restaurant company 'Loungers' is opening a new venue in Neath

Popular UK bar-restaurant company Loungers, which runs Zinco Lounge in Swansea, Croeso Lounge in Mumbles and Juno Lounge in Cardiff among its long list of neighbourhood cafes, restaurants and bars, has confirmed it's opening a new venue in Neath in 2023.

"Cadno Lounge" will be located on Fairfield Way in Neath town centre and will serve a wide range of meals from tapas and salads to burgers and mac 'n cheese, with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options too. There will also be an extensive drinks menu of hot drinks, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks and cocktails.

The lounge-restaurant will be designed as a "retro-inspired retreat" with "eclectic artwork" and oversized vintage sofas, painted tables and "statement lighting," the company said. Staff hope to make customers feel relaxed at the venue and feel like it's their "home-from-home".

Plans for the new site also include the potential for staff to help run community events at the Lounge - and it's hoped local community groups and charity support groups will find the venue a pleasant space to meet together too. Loungers estimate around 25 jobs will be created by the new Cadno Lounge, a few are being advertised online here.

Confirming the new venue, a spokesperson for Loungers said: "We are delighted by the prospect of bringing Loungers to Neath. Our Lounges strive to put community at the heart of hospitality, and our teams go the extra mile to make a difference.

"They are actively encouraged to connect with their communities by working with local groups, charities, organisations and businesses that are at the heart of the fabric of local life. We are very much looking forward to welcoming the Neath community to our new Lounge."

The news comes as Loungers opens its fourth Lounge in Cardiff. Construction workers have been busy transforming the former Tafarn Treganna pub into "Hudo Lounge" in the capital. You can read more about that new venue here.
