Popular baby rave comes back to Glasgow with former Celtic player to DJ

An award-winning family-friendly rave is returning to Glasgow later this month.

Big Fish Little Fish will make its triumphant return on December 19, over two years after last sell out success in Glasgow.

It will host two sessions to suit family routines, with first take place between 1pm and 3pm and the later teatime event from 4pm to 6pm.

Both parties will have an optional, but fully encouraged Christmas dress up theme.

The DJ for both parties will be Bobby Petta, former Celtic star and house DJ for Glasgow's Attic Room Sessions, as well as regular host for Groove City Radio.

All music is played at a safe sound level, monitored throughout the event, so even the smallest guests can enjoy the rave.

The parties include a multi-sensory dance floor with top DJs playing club classics and upfront dance music. Bubble machines, a snow machine, glitter cannons, club visuals and a giant parachute dance all help to create the atmosphere of a real rave.

All events will also offer a play and chillout area for babies, plus a crafting area featuring colouring murals, playdough and transfer tattoos, as well as having a licensed bar. There are also stalls offering facepainting, cakes, and pop up specials.

BFLF Scotland Manager, Kirstie Wilson said “ This is going to be our first Glasgow date since COVID-19 struck, so it’s going to be a very special moment for us all. To top it, our Christmas events are always hugely popular for a great, alternative family day out. It’s crazy to think that some of our past tiny guests will now be toddlers or started school and we’ll have a whole new crowd of first time tiny ravers too!

"Glasgow always brings a great crowd that really appreciate what we do since mastering the art of hosting inclusive and entertaining family raves, since launching in Scotland in 2015. We can’t wait to come back to our Glasgow audience!

"Just to note on COVID-19 - we'll work with Drygate to make sure their policies are met in order for them to remain open and operating as a venue, nobody wants the industry to close again!

"Vaccine passports will not be required for these events, as current government guidance stands, due to capacity and timings. We do, however encourage guests to take a lateral test before attending and note that the venue request that guests wear a masks while moving between areas inside, unless exempt."
