A popular baby food product sold in Tesco Ireland, Supervalu, and other Irish supermarkets is being urgently recalled over choking fears.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued the recall for certain batches of the Aptamil Baby Muesli Products, due to the potential presence of apple stalks in the product.

The first product to be recalled is Aptamil Oats, Raisin & Apple Bircher Muesli 10+ months; pack size: 275g.

The second product is Aptamil Multigrain & Fruit Muesli 10+ months; pack size: 275g,

And supermarkets across Ireland who purchased these products, with a best before date of January 16th 2022 , regardless of batch code, are being urged to recall the items immediately.

A spokesperson from the Food Safety Authority of Ireland has said: “Nutricia is recalling the above batches of its Aptamil baby muesli products due to the presence of apple stalks.”

“Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batches.”
