Popular American restaurant we've all been waiting for opens its doors in Liffey Valley shopping centre

It's a happy day for hungry Dubliners as the infamous American restaurant chain Five Guys had its grand opening in Liffey Valley today.

The restaurant is one of many new additions to the Dublin shopping centre after a new three-storey glass unit extension was built onto the centre.

The American restaurant chain is focused on hamburgers, hot dogs, and French fries.

Announcing the opening on Facebook today, Liffey Valley said: "Five Guys Liffey Valley is officially open. Can't wait to see you in store! What will be your first order?"

The new restaurant makes Five Guys go for five for five in the capital, with other restaurants located on South Great George's Street, Dundrum Shopping Centre, Frascati Shopping Centre and Swords Pavilions Shopping Centre.

The Liffey Valley unit is open from 12pm-9pm daily.

The shopping centre also opened a TK Maxx store last week, adding 130 jobs to the workforce.

The American discount retailer is renting a 29,870sq ft space in the newly constructed extension.
