It's all change on the Quayside as a familiar bar enters a new era with a new name.
If you've taken a wander along the banks of the River Tyne in recent weeks, you'll have noticed that Popolo is no more.
Newcastle's famous cocktail bar made the switch from Pilgrim Street to the Quayside a few years ago but now both its interior and exterior have had a huge overhaul to become Empourium.
While the Empourium signs have been up for a few weeks now, the new venue will get its official launch this Saturday, August 10.
Emporium is described as Victorian imagination, steampunkery, meets style bar luxury.
They told Chronicle Live: "Empourium Bar & Diner reaches beyond our reality.
"Prepare yourself to be whisked away through a theatro-futuristic horse guarded entrance and into a world of visual candy, where bartenders are magicians, crafting & pouring the finest liquid concoctions, while DJ’s transport you through to a disco and retro-house time warp of discovery until 3am, 7 nights a week."
Drinks wise you can expect a huge range of cocktail concoctions and a massive list of premium spirits, while tastebuds will be tickled by a Brooklyn deli style menu, with an extensive line of breakfast and brunch dishes available all day including a large selection of American buttermilk pancake stacks and toppings.
Empourium with launch in spectacular style this weekend with a launch party featuring a star turn from dance diva Angie Brown, the voice of 90s anthem I'm Gonna Get You.
Resident DJ Hollie Disco Dolly will be on the decks and to get free entry post your name on the event page on Facebook.

Emporium added "After a successful launch party welcoming Empourium onto the Quayside we have even more surprises just around the corner and we can’t wait to show you our venue with even more twists!
"This is not one to be missed."
