Pope Leo XIV call out Donald Trump for his hypocrisy, says he isn’t really ‘pro-life’

Donald Trump and his government have never shied away from expressing their radical viewpoints. They have positioned themselves at the forefront of the pro-life movement in opposition to the pro-choice stance, while also championing the interests of straight, white males over those of individuals who do not fit that description. In short, they have ensured that they are identified with all the wrong causes.

Lately, Trump and the Republicans have been carrying out one of the biggest attacks on immigrant populations within the U.S. With the help of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the current government under Trump is conducting regular raids wherein individuals are being dragged from their homes by force, only to be deported later. Not only that, on the occasion of any opposition during these raids, agents are resorting to physical violence. These attacks target not only the immigrants but also those who stand up against the actions, regardless of their nationality.

While many have called Trump and his government out for their inhuman and unlawful practices, none of the voices raised till now have been loud enough to deter him. He continues to urge the ICE to conduct raids within the U.S. while periodically trying to increase the area of implementation of the practices.

With the government shutdown happening, Trump has diverted all his energy into badmouthing the Democrats and blaming them for the situation. But, it appears that he would soon be diverting his full attention to hating on immigrants due to Pope Leo XIV’s recent comments. Speaking to the press on Tuesday about current U.S. politics and its hypocrisies, the Vatican City Sovereign said:

“Someone who says I’m against abortion but is in favor of the death penalty is not really pro-life. And someone who says I’m against abortion but I’m in agreement with the inhuman treatment of immigrants in the United States, I don’t know if that’s pro-life.”

Trump will undoubtedly take notice of these remarks, as is the case with all the times anyone has opposed him. He will probably take to Truth Social, his social media platform of choice, where he speaks anything but the truth.
