The Pop-Up Globe will pop up from next February to May at the Ellerslie Racecourse.
Four productions will be staged at the replica of William Shakespeare's spiritual home: Othello, Much Ado about Nothing, As You Like It, and Henry V.
The interior of the theatre is getting a major makeover, which will include a working cannon.
The theatre is the world's first full-scale replica of Shakespeare's second Globe playhouse.
Its first season was from February to May, and it was in a carpark behind the Basement Theatre.
