Pop-up Bristol kitchen serving incredible Italian food finds new city centre home

A pop-up kitchen which serves incredible Italian food is up and running at its new home in Bristol city centre.

Grano Kitchen was most recently based at Number Fifty on Whiteladies Road, but was forced to search for a new site after the closure of the café.

Headed up by Piedmontese chef Alberto Noriega, the well-reviewed pop-up is now serving its food at The Boardroom, having launched on Monday (April 12).

Customers can either enjoy their traditional Italian grub on the tables and chairs set up outside the St Nicholas Street venue or take it away to eat it on the go.

Options on the menu include burrata with confit tomatoes, focaccia sandwiches and Grano's incredibly irresistible seven-layer lasagne, which tastes as good as it looks.

Speaking about the move on Monday, Alberto said: "After a grim cold winter serving slices on the street pavement and a tough premise moving, today we finally did our first service at The Boardroom.

"It is a joy for us to work alongside Stefano, Ollie, Poppy and the rest of the team. The location is prime and we honestly couldn’t ask for a better landing. A long summer is on the way - we can’t wait to see you all again."

Grano Kitchen started life in September 2018 at Glitch in Old Market before relocating around the corner to To The Moon in May 2019.

Before launching the business Alberto worked at Oowee Diner - but he was keen to start cooking the food he grew up with in North West Italy.

One recent Tripadvisor review of Grano Kitchen, when it was operating at Number Fifty, praised the "incredibly honest Italian food, full of authenticity, flavour and skill".

Another impressed visitor added, "the food is absolutely amazing and such good value for money".

Grano Kitchen is operating on a first come, first-served basis at The Boardroom. For more information, visit its Facebook page.
