Poor deer stuck by her behind in a fence is saved with the help of a car jack

An ailing roe deer was freed from her fence prison - by an animal rescue officer using her vehicle jack.

Quick-thinking Jan Toraman grabbed the wheel jack from her van after being called out to a park in Renfrew.

And as night was closing in on Thursday, the SSPCA officer braced the old metal railings apart with her handy rescue tool, below.

Jan joked: “I think the deer was a bit t red faced rather than red nosed.

“Thankfully the deer was unharmed and immediately released back in to the wild.”

The fence is within woods at the new Clyde View Park at Braehead.

Janan said: “Luckily this deer was found by the caller’s well behaved dog as it would never have been spotted otherwise.

“She took a few minutes to realise her legs in fact still worked fine and she bounded out and away as I stood back.

“It got dark about 10 minutes later so she was one lucky deer.”
