Pooches get Santa meet and greet at Scottish SPCA in Dumbarton

A dog is for life, not just for Christmas – but that doesn’t mean that man’s best friend can’t enjoy some festive fun at this time of year.

The Dumbarton branch of the Scottish SPCA in Milton invited dog owners along this Sunday, December 1 to meet Santa in his very own grrr-otto.

The centre’s assistant manager Kim Mackrell explained more about the idea.

She said: “Dogs will get to meet Santa, receive a gift and get their photo taken with their families.

“We’ll also have raffles, stalls, crafts and opportunities to meet our resident animals in need of their forever homes.

“We think it will be a really fun, inclusive event suitable for all the family. Funds raised will go towards the animals in our care.”
