Pony with a unoccupied carriage spotted outside local Weatherspoons

A West Country Wetherspoons ended up with a rather unexpected guest outside its doors this week. A picture has been taken and it shows a pony tied up to a lamppost outside The William Dampier Wetherspoons in Yeovil on Thursday (June 9).

The funny photo shows the pony with a single-seated carriage behind it. The unoccupied seat looks as if the owner of the pony had popped into the pub for a quick drink whilst they were out and about.

The image shows nobody around the pony or in the local area where the pony had been left on their own. The William Dampier pub had previously been branded 'Britain's ugliest pub' reports Somerset Live.

Despite that, recent TripAdvisor reviews for the pub have been slightly more positive. One of the most recent reviews are headlined 'enjoyable', 'just what you want' and 'great value for money'.

One reviewer also said: "Great service, the staff were friendly. The pub was clean."
