Pontus Jansson reveals Andrea Radrizzani contact as he admits he misses life at Leeds United

Pontus Jansson says he misses life at Leeds United and is still in contact with Andrea Radrizzani.

The popular centre-back departed Elland Road in 2019 after three years at the club, moving to Brentford in a transfer that was considered to be a surprise by some at the time, with Jansson having previously been considered to be a key player in the Whites side.

Jansson himself has admitted in the past he was not expecting to leave that summer but he has continued to speak highly of both the Whites and manager Marcelo Bielsa, despite spending just one of his three seasons at Elland Road under the Argentine manager.

Whilst the Swedish defender says he is happy at Brentford and feels valued by the Bees, he says his time at Leeds has made a lasting impression on him thanks to how special the club is.

Speaking to Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen, Jansson said he is still in contact with plenty of figures from his time at Elland Road, including Whites owner Radrizzani.

He said: "To be completely honest, I miss Leeds and love Leeds, but I’m in a place in life where I’m incredibly happy with where I am now at my new club and how appreciated I am there.

"But it is clear that I miss Leeds, my team-mates and the club.

"You who follow them know that it was something special. I will love Leeds for the rest of my life and follow them.

"I have a pretty close relationship with many of the players, I still often talk to Andrea."
