'We've found answers all season' Leeds United fans react to another injury blow ahead of Derby County clash

Leeds United fans have reacted with defiance after they were handed a fresh injury blow ahead of their team's Championship play-off semi-final first leg at Derby County.

Pontus Jansson has lost his fitness battle and misses out at Pride Park in the latest blow in a season full of set-backs.

Marcelo Bielsa admitted that the Swede was carrying an ankle injury during his Thursday press conference and Jansson has missed out on a place in the matchday squad and will join Tyler Roberts on the sidelines.

Gaetano Berardi will deputise for Jansson in the only change to the starting XI that lost 3-2 last weekend at Ipswich Town.

Kiko Casilla continues in goal, in front of a back-four of Luke Ayling, Berardi, Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas. Kalvin Phillips will sit in front of the defence, with Adam Forshaw and Mateusz Klich joining him in midfield.

Jack Harrison and Pablo Hernandez will provide the width, while Kemar Roofe is up front in the absence of suspended Patrick Bamford.

Izzy Brown, who has played just nine minutes in a Leeds shirt and made only one touch, is back on the bench, as is under-23s defender Pascal Struijk.

Martyn Waghorn misses out for the hosts following his injury score.

In today's other semi-final first leg, goals from Conor Hourihane and Tammy Abraham helped Aston Villa come from behind to secure a 2-1 win over West Brom at Villa Park. The Baggies saw their goalscorer Dwight Gayle sent off for a second bookable offence in the closing moments, meaning he will miss Tuesday night's second leg.
