Pontins has been a popular resort for families over the years, but at times it has been plagued by bad reviews.
Guests keep going to holiday parks - including the Merseyside resort in Southport - but there's no denying it has been troubled, with more than a little negative feedback.
While we know all about the many reports detailing guest's experiences at Pontins' North West sites , we wondered what it's really like to work there?
Here past and present staff member reveal what they think of the holiday resort - sharing behind-the-scenes secrets, their thoughts of Pontins' management and more.
"Very unhygienic"

One staff member who worked as a waiter at Pontins Southport resort went as far as to call the place "unhygienic".
They said: "Never would want to work at Pontins again. Awful work place, awful management, very unhygienic place.
"Not ran very well, not enough staff to run the place because Pontins are not capable of hiring the correctly skilled people."
"We were rather dismissive with people's complaints"
For anyone who has had a bad experience at Southport's Pontins, this may not be what you want to hear.
One former worker who described their job role as being a 'guest solutions advisor' said the company were dismissive of complaints compared to how they used to be handled.

They said: "Hardest part of the job was receiving phone calls from guests who have not had a good experience and demand their money back.
"I felt as though we were rather dismissive with people's complaints in comparison to when the department was initially established."
"Place itself is a dump don't know how it survived"

One former manager said: "Ran by people who don't deserve to be in there positions with poor people skills and no leadership skills, place itself is a dump don't know how it survived."
"No qualified chefs"
An ex-employee said the best part about working at Pontins was a café outside of its resort, across the road.
They also detailed how chalets would flood regularly and the chefs were not qualified.
They said: "Chalet was flooding, there were no qualified chefs who used to act as though the restaurant was the Savoy.

"The Bluecoats spoke to you because they had to, the gets I mean guests spoke to you how they wanted, some of them didn't seem to know how to sit at a table without making a mess and you would have to clean up after them."
"If anyone wants this as a holiday I beg you look somewhere else"

A former Pontins receptionist did not hold back when detailing their experience working at the holiday resort.
They accused other staff members of being rude as well as begging any future customers to "look somewhere else".
The worker said: "The rooms are vile I had to log complaint after compliant every single day.

"If anyone wants this as a holiday I beg you look somewhere else and if people wanting this as a job all I will say to you is.
"You can do better don't settle for the bottom work hard and push go get yourself a better job where you will be treated well. I regret ever working here, I will never work here again."
