US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is scheduled to travel to Kuwait in March, announced Kuwait’s deputy Foreign Minister Khaled al-Jaralllah.
The KUNA news agency reported that third round of the strategic American-Kuwaiti dialogue will be held during his visit.
Jarallah stressed that ties between Kuwait and Washington are making noticeable development in all fields.
Pompeo was expected to visit Kuwait in January as part of a regional tour that included Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt in order to address US President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw American troops from Syria.
The top diplomat was however, forced to cut Kuwait from his tour because he had to return to the US to attend a family funeral.
