Joe Wicks has been a constant in the lockdown lives of families all over the world.
He promised he’d do his PE lessons as long as we need him, and he’s been true to his word, come bank holidays or broken hands.
He’s raised hundreds of thousands for the NHS.
It’s starting not to feel like a coincidence that he looks so much like Jesus.
Joe is the saviour of lockdown.
So it was a worrying weekend.
Last Friday, the hand Joe broke in a bike accident swelled up and began “throbbing and pulsating like liquid hot magma.”
He went to hospital, where an operation was scheduled.
And yet there was never any doubt that he’d do Monday’s workout.
Even if it was from his hospital bed, encouraging us only with enthusiastic eyebrow movements.
Instead Joe, 33, revealed wife Rosie, would demonstrate the moves.
Suddenly he didn’t seem so saintly... more Joseph Iscariot.
Drafting in his super hot, ex-glamour model wife was a low blow.
To clarify, I didn’t look like her even on the day I looked the best I ever have.
At this point in lockdown, Rosie and I are barely recognisable as the same species.
Her backstory – Catholic school girl turned topless model – is like a plot of an adult movie.
The 29-year-old is also a Guinness World Record holder (most bras taken off and put back on in a minute.*)
The pair have two kids, Indie, two and four-month-old Marley.
Keep that in your head as you look at her photo - this woman had a baby four months ago.
My husband, who has dipped in and out of the daily workout, was suddenly very much back in.
I was determined to hate her, naturally, but I couldn’t.
She’s sweet, warm and, just like the rest of us, devoted to Joe.
Hopefully next time she’ll wear some leggings that don’t make her look naked from the waist down though.
Despite the recent regular exercise, not sure my bloke’s heart can take it.
