A man was rushed was hospital after a serious assault in Pollokshields.
A large police and emergency service presence was seen at Forth Street, in the south of the city, yesterday evening.
It was earlier reported by Daily Record a knifeman had gone on a rampage in the area.
Police Scotland have since confirmed to Glasgow Live a man was taken to hospital after a serious assault.
A Police spokesperson said: "Around 6.30pm on Wednesday 19th June, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Forth Street, Pollokshields.
"Emergency services attended and one man was taken to hospital after being seriously assaulted.
"One man was also arrested and later released pending further enquiries."
