Police in Glasgow have recovered the body of a teenage boy from the river in Pollok Park.
Officers said the tragic 16-year-old had fallen into the River Cart and that there are no suspicious circumstances.
Locals had earlier described a major emergency services operation involving helicopters and rescue boats.
They were called out to reports of a person in difficulties in the water in the area close to Pollok House.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.10pm on Tuesday, 30 June, 2020, police responded to a report of a concern for a person in the water at Pollok Country Park, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and the body of a 16-year-old boy was recovered.
“There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
