Pollok – Appeal for information after two cars damaged in wilful fire-raising

A hunt has been launched for firebugs after two cars were torched in an early-morning blaze in Pollok.

Officers were called to Potterhill Road area at around 9.45am on Tuesday and two cars were damaged as a result of the blaze.

No injuries have been reported at this stage and the cause of the fire was not disclosed, the Daily Record reports.

Police are treating the incident as wilful fire-raising. Enquiries are ongoing.

Witnesses and anyone with information are being urged to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Record: “At around 9.45am on Tuesday, August 24, officers were called to a report of two cars damaged after a fire in Potterhill Road, Pollok, Glasgow.

"The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference 0826 of August 24."
