The Kansas City Chiefs had seven free agents join the 53-man roster in 2018. Some of those players joined during the beginning of the free agency period, while others joined during the season. Each of these players made different impact on the team.
For instance, Chad Henne allowed the Chiefs to be comfortable enough to carry one less quarterback than they typically do on the 53-man roster. That helped out the Chiefs in terms of their roster composition. That type of impact is markedly different from a player like Sammy Watkins, but it’s still very important.
