Poll: What’s your confidence level in Jaguars’ chances to have a good free agency period?

Free agency has finally arrived after Super Bowl LVI last month. It starts with a “two day negotiating period” on Monday at noon EDT and on March 16, 4 p.m. EDT, the 2022 NFL league year begins and franchises can make trades and sign free agents.

The Jacksonville Jaguars head into free agency with a plethora of needs, spanning from offensive linemen, wide receivers, defensive linemen, cornerbacks, and safeties. The Jaguars have over $38 million in cap space, which sits top-10 among league ranks, according to the NFL Players Association.

Jacksonville probably won’t be competitive next season because of its abundance of weaknesses on the roster, barring a miracle. Therefore, general manager Trent Baalke and head coach Doug Pederson should emphasize adding proven-NFL talent to ensure the growth of now second-year quarterback Trevor Lawrence after he sputtered during his rookie year.

Some Jaguars’ potential targets include offensive tackle Terron Armstead, edge-rusher Chandler Jones, cornerback J.C. Jackson, and wide receiver Allen Robinson II.

With free agency starting Monday, what’s your confidence level in the Jaguars’ chances to have a good free agency period? Let us know in the comments section and feel free to vote in the poll below.
