The NFL draft is over, free agency has largely dried up in terms of impact talent and the team OTAs and minicamps are on the doorstep. We now have a pretty good idea of who will be the 22 starters on the 53-man Detroit Lions roster in 2019.
There have been a lot of changes to both the offense and defense. Quite a few familiar faces, from T.J. Lang to Glover Quin, are now ex-Lions. Major new additions include Trey Flowers and first-round pick T.J. Hockenson.
It’s easy to feel better about the team now than when the disappointing 2018 campaign concluded with a 6-10 finish. But there are still reasons to worry.
