POLL: Were Jags right to name Nick Foles their starter?

The Jacksonville Jaguars ended Minshew Mania (at least temporarily) by naming veteran quarterback Nick Foles their starter Tuesday and they will now place their hopes of making the playoffs in his hands. The decision by coach Doug Marrone wasn’t an easy one by any means, but Foles’ résumé was ultimately the key factor as the Jags will need to put together a big-time winning streak to make the playoffs and save the jobs of Doug Marrone and the front office.

With Gardner Minshew II bringing life to the fanbase and franchise, a lot of fans felt he should remain the starter. After all, he was able to achieve several notable feats and earn six Rookie of the Week awards, a Rookie of the Month award and establish a ton of buzz for the league’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Statistically, he completed 61.2 percent of his passes (188-of-307) for 2,285 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, four interceptions, and earned a 92.8 passer rating. But now, the personnel needs the most experienced quarterback on the field. Could that be what’s ultimately best for the franchise?

With that said, we want to know your thoughts on the biggest question surrounding the team — were the Jags right to name Foles their starting quarterback? Let us know in the poll below.
