POLL: Was trading for Joe Flacco the right move for Broncos?

The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with the Baltimore Ravens on a trade that will send quarterback Joe Flacco to Denver. The move will not become official until the new league year begins on March 13.

The Broncos are expected to send a fourth-round draft pick to the Ravens in exchange for Flacco. The veteran quarterback will have a salary cap hit of $18.5 million in 2019 but Denver could cut him in 2020 without any dead money. It’s a bit of a low-risk move with potential for high reward.

Flacco will become the team’s new starting quarterback and the Broncos will try to trade Case Keenum, who was Denver’s starter last season. If the Broncos are unable to trade Keenum, they will either restructure his contract or cut him.

Before acquiring Flacco, Denver “kicked the tires” on Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles. Flacco was a cheaper option.

We want to know what you think, Broncos fans. Was this a good move for Denver? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below!
