POLL: Was giving Chris Harris a pay raise a good move for Broncos?

The Denver Broncos have given cornerback Chris Harris a pay raise for the 2019 season, increasing his salary from $8.9 million to $12.05 million.

Here are the positives: Harris is happy and he has ended his holdout in time for the final week of organized team activities. He is a crucial part of Denver’s secondary and the Broncos will lean on him in 2019.

Here are the negatives: Denver did not add any years to Harris’ contract so he’s still set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2020. The franchise tag for a cornerback next year will probably be around $16 million and the Broncos are not expected to tag Harris. So there’s a chance that 2019 could mark Harris’ final season in Denver.
