The Green Bay Packers will come on the clock at No. 12 overall during Thursday night’s first round of the 2019 NFL draft.
Months of planning, evaluating and big-board building comes down to this. Barring a trade up or down, GM Brian Gutekunst will take a future foundational piece of his roster at No. 12 overall.
It’s just impossible to predict who Gutekunst will take. He will have several different options, depending on which way the board falls, but with a little luck – and a few teams taking quarterbacks in the top 10 – the Packers will have at least one blue-chip player left on the board at 12.
