Poll: Should Chargers draft QB in 2019 NFL draft?

It was a quiet season for the Chargers in regards to the question that has been raised numerous times throughout the past few years — is it time for Los Angeles to draft quarterback Philip Rivers’ successor?

The question wasn’t brought up nearly as much because Rivers continued to play at a high level, posting his best campaign since the 2013 season. But the talks have started elevate with the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine beginning this week.

Media pundits like NFL Media’s Daniel Jeremiah have mentioned some possibilities, including Auburn’s Jarrett Stidham in the middle rounds. Meanwhile, we’ve seen some mock drafts that have had L.A. selecting Missouri’s Drew Lock early on with their first-round selection.

Chargers Wire made the point why it wouldn’t be the most wise idea to pick a quarterback at all in this year’s draft, and address other areas of need. But general manger Tom Telesco, coach Anthony Lynn and company could think otherwise.

I don’t expect the chatter to end anytime soon, at least until it actually happens. Telesco and Lynn’s comments made at their press conference tomorrow should only have many thinking hard if this is the year that they end their five-year drought by taking one to let sit behind Rivers.

With that, we want to hear your opinion. In the poll below, tell us if you believe Los Angeles should take a quarterback with one of their seven picks.
