Poll: Should Bengals embrace rebuild and host fire sale, trading A.J. Green and others?

The idea of the Cincinnati Bengals blowing it up and rebuilding the team via shipping away big-name stars such as A.J. Green is a divisive one.

At 0-5, it’s something the front office has to consider ahead of the October 29 deadline. A general view of the roster right now shows serious problems along the offensive line and arguably at all levels of the defense.

And the Bengals are in contention for the No. 1 pick in 2020 right now — generally speaking, that should be a quarterback, meaning the other areas go unaddressed with premium talent.

Unless the Bengals throw up the white flag and offer up talent other teams will pay big assets to obtain. Think, Green, Tyler Eifert, Geno Atkins, even Andy Dalton if a contender suffers a setback and panics.

That talent, plus others, could easily fetch a first-round pick and other top-100 selections in addition to what the Bengals have already hoarded.

If nothing else, it’s something to keep in mind as the trade deadline approaches.
