Minnesota was in the forefront of discussion across the world when George Floyd’s death, after being detained by police, sparked protests.
One thing that has happened since then: The NFL has apologized for its once-instituted policy regarding anthem protests. NFL players either had to stand for the national anthem or stay in the locker room during it.
Recently, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell released a video where the league apologized for not allowing players to protest, letting everyone know they now support it.
A recent poll done by Vikings Wire found that 2,870 votes, at the time this article was published, said if Vikings players protested the anthem, they would not be OK with it. Whereas 1,548 votes fans voted saying they would be all right with Minnesota players protesting.
That means that 64.95% of people who voted said that they would not be OK with Vikings players kneeling during the national anthem.
If Vikings running back Dalvin Cook needs more than $10 million a year, should Minnesota pay that?

There was another Vikings Wire poll recently that illuminated how some fans feel about giving Dalvin Cook over $10 million a year on his new deal.
Cook will refrain from team activities until he receives a revised contract, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
At the time this article was published, Vikings fans voted to not pay Cook more than $10 million.
The not-paying-Cook camp (Wilf wallet warriors? salary cap curmudgeons?) won out 409 votes to 230 at the time this article was published. Granted this is a small sample size, and there is still a vocal group that thinks Cook should earn more than that. However, these numbers do suggest that there are at least some fans who think Cook might be worth $10 million a year or less.
